Today, people are more conscious of fitness and health. People will choose an instant reward anytime if asked to decide between that or something that can be had in the future which is far better than the instant one. If we apply this to being healthy, the reality is that you cannot immediately feel the effects or the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle. While you know that it is not good to be overweight, dieting and exercise puts you off when you think of feeling hungry afterwards, getting tired and sweaty and having you deny yourself treats for a long time. You don’t do your dieting and exercising even though you know it is good for you since you will not see any benefit immediately. The failure of many people in achieving the healthy lifestyle is because of this.

One way to help yourself is to give something to gratify yourself while you are doing your health plan. It is not really impossible to gain health benefits while laying aside instant gratification. Overcoming the problem of instant gratification can be done in several ways. But, you can actually try some methods to help you overcome this. In your health plan, add a bit of instant gratification. Motive yourself by gibing yourself a reward whenever your health goal is achieved. These rewards can help you slowly achieve your goals.

Don’t ever reward yourself with food items. With these rewards, you can have self gratification while achieving your health goals.
